Broadcast Engineer / Aldis Systems

Aldis Systems is looking for an experienced Broadcast Engineer to join our team and manage broadcast infrastructure projects from planning thorough installation.


Primary Responsibilities

  • Work independently as Lead Broadcast Engineer onsite in support of facility integrations and contracted SLA’s 
  • Determine system workflow and functionality through communication with clients, engineering staff and sales department
  • Provide engineering design support and assist with the integration and installation of those facility designs
  • Solve technical problems and provide technical support for Aldis staff and clients
  • Work with Project Managers, Design Engineers and customers throughout the completion of each project 
  • Perform all technical work to engineering standards and best practices
  • Consult and communicate with engineering management and other engineers on technical issues as required
  • Apply communication, analytical and problem-solving skills to help identify, report and resolve issues
  • Work with vendors to help troubleshoot equipment issues, install system updates and upgrades
  • Provide monitoring, testing and measurement of critical systems
  • Research new products to remain current on technology solutions 
  • Build working relationships with vendor technical support and training personnel


  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience required with a minimum of three (3) years relevant experience



  • Comprehensive knowledge of system configurations with an emphasis placed on end user workflow 
  • Knowledge of video, audio, control and networking theory, design and deployment
  • Basic understanding of IT networking topologies and configuration of TCP/IP/SNMP Networks, VLAN’s and port configuration
  • Experience troubleshooting and repair of legacy installations as well as understanding and  resolving unusual or unexpected technical or installation problems
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD including ability to diagram systems as well as read and interpret CAD drawings and other technical materials
  • Qualified to apply terminations/connectors to various types of copper and fiber broadcast and network cables


Other Qualifications

  • The ability to work efficiently without direct supervision and set priorities under pressure of deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Up to 30% travel, occasionally on a last-minute basis 
  • Occasional evening and weekend work 
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds varying distances and climb ladders up to 10’ tall
